  • 1/3 cup oil (vegetable or any neutral oil)
  • 1 cup curd (plain yogurt)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vinegar (white or apple cider vinegar)
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method

  1. Preheat and Prepare:
    Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, curd, and sugar until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla essence and mix well.

    Sift the flour, baking powder, and baking soda into the wet mixture. Gently fold everything together, being careful not to overmix. The batter should be smooth and thick.
